Dr. Michael Igwe is an award-winning physician, humanitarian, educator, and entrepreneur who serves as the President of EAGLES NETWORK INTERNATIONAL, a rapidly growing humanitarian organization powered by volunteers across the globe committed to spreading hope, compassion, and excellence through service.
What began decades ago as a simple act of feeding ten people has evolved into a global movement providing free food, clothing, humanitarian support, and medical care to thousands of underserved individuals and communities worldwide. At the heart of this mission is Dr. Igwe’s enduring belief that love, compassion, and service have the power to transform lives and restore human dignity. He believes that combining scientific excellence with empathy can profoundly alter the trajectory of a human life, and that every individual deserves compassionate, evidence-based, and equitable care.
Dr. Igwe is triple board-certified in Internal Medicine, Obesity Medicine, and Addiction Medicine. He graduated from medical school with distinction and completed his Internal Medicine Residency training at Valleywise Health (formerly Maricopa Medical Center) in Phoenix, Arizona. He later completed fellowship training in Addiction Medicine at HonorHealth in Scottsdale, Arizona. He has also completed multiple advanced professional courses and leadership trainings.
Recognized for his clinical excellence and leadership, Dr. Igwe was recently honored with the Physician Excellence Award at Dignity Health, USA.
He is a respected clinician, scholar, educator, and mentor who has served in various academic, faculty, and professorial roles across multiple universities and medical institutions in the United States. His contributions to medical education, physician mentorship, and clinical training have extended across institutions including Creighton University, Midwestern University, and University of Arizona College of Medicine, where he has participated in the training and development of medical students, resident physicians, and healthcare professionals. Through his teaching, leadership, and continued involvement in academic medicine, Dr. Igwe remains committed to advancing excellence in healthcare education and shaping the next generation of compassionate and evidence-based medical practitioners.
Dr. Igwe is also the Chief Medical Officer of TOTAL HEALTH CLINICS and President & CEO of Royalty Healthcare. He serves on the boards of multiple organizations internationally.
Through his growing humanitarian, healthcare, and community development initiatives, Dr. Igwe has become a respected advocate for sustainable grassroots transformation and public-centered leadership. Through EAGLES NETWORK INTERNATIONAL, Dr. Igwe continues to champion programs focused on free medical outreaches, nutrition and food support, humanitarian relief, mentorship, youth empowerment, support for widows and vulnerable populations, community health education, employment opportunities, and grassroots development.
Under his leadership, the organization seeks to expand access to compassionate, high-quality healthcare and humanitarian services, particularly in underserved communities where preventable and treatable illnesses continue to claim lives unnecessarily. Dr. Igwe envisions building a globally recognized humanitarian movement focused on healthcare, youth empowerment, economic development, and sustainable community transformation across underserved communities worldwide.
Beyond medicine and humanitarian work, Dr. Igwe is deeply passionate about sustainable economic empowerment through industrial and community development initiatives. He strongly believes that building factories, production systems, and local enterprises capable of creating meaningful employment opportunities for young people is essential to reducing poverty, restoring dignity, and transforming communities for future generations.
Outside of his professional and humanitarian commitments, Dr. Igwe enjoys music, singing, and creative expression, which he considers important parts of maintaining balance, joy, and human connection.
